Dr. Chris Feaster, VMD, a licensed veterinarian with over 15 years of clinical experience, is a proven leader in companion animal medicine. He has extensive general practice experience, providing medical and surgical care to his patients and rescue animals. This includes high-volume spay/neuter work and complex medical case management. Dr. Feaster’s early work with the Swine Department while studying at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine strengthened his foundation in animal welfare. He focused on group housing, eliminating gestation crates, and improving farm animal well-being.

Dr. Feaster combines his veterinary expertise with his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. He will be expanding his expertise through advanced training in Public Health / One Health, an approach that recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. His career experience and long-term goals are rooted in veterinary medicine, animal welfare and rescue support, business leadership, engineering, and public health.
